The architecture firm of James Wagman, LLC was in the process of relaunching their website when they brought me in to write copy for the bio and portfolio pages, eventually asking me to write marketing email and snail mail postcard copy.

Hip Chick Music

Hip Chick Music is a hot new music label and web community created exclusively for female artists by award-winning musician Elise Lebec. I was hired to draft a killer press release to announce the launch of HCM as well as an 'About Us' page and email that would explain the powerful concept behind the label and encourage artists to audition. The site launched last month and is already generating buzz in the industry.

WeGoBridal

I "penned" three Fashion & Beauty advice articles for a cheeky, irreverent new bridal site's launch: "Mom's the Word" (tips for helping mothers of the bride & groom look their best), "You've Got Male" (finding the killer tux), and "Orchestrate the Perfect Match" (the key to creating your total look).

Perfectmatch.com

Perfectmatch.com, an online dating and relationship service, initially approached me in 2005 to write all new site copy for their 2005 relaunch. In the subsequent months I wrote email newsletters, People and Entertainment Weekly print ads, banner ads, and google ads. I also collaborated with them on a 60 second television ad and wrote the script for a product placement in the movie License to Wed starring Robin Williams and Mandy Moore.

Gabrielle Morgan, Graphic Designer

After a short phone chat with Gabrielle Morgan, a Graphic Designer based in Portland, I wrote the first-person biography for her online portfolio. The goal was to give prospective clients and potential employers a sense of Gabrielle's personality and work ethic.

Carrie Zack is a successful Los Angeles-based Event Planner who hired me to write the copy for the launch of her new business. I needed to develop a professional tone that conveyed Carrie's uniquely upbeat, generous, and detail-oriented approach to event planning. She has since expanded her company and been featured in In Style Weddings and Bride & Bloom.

FIDM, The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising

As Content Manager for FIDM, The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, I'm responsible for managing a team of writers and collaborating with art directors to publish an award-winning online magazine for High School Students (FashionClub.com), FIDM’s academic website (FIDM.edu), various academic and ad collateral, and PromAdvice.

In a successful effort to exceed marketing goals for acquiring new visitors and leads, I oversaw the content redesign of Fashionclub.com and developed many new features such as “What’s Haute” and “Chit Chat” (interviews with creative professionals).

I'm the founder and managing editor of FIDM's official blog and the Style Scoop blog and MySpace profile. Additional responsibilities have included being interviewed by the press (print, online, and radio) as a style and trend expert.

Working for ad agency Carat Interactive, I wrote all new site copy for The General Auto Insurance site relaunch.

I created website and brochure copy for the official launch of Geotracer, a GPS (Global Position System) tracking company.
