Last night, dinner at Florent. Today, brunch at the romantic Café des Artistes, which exceeded all expectations. The frolicking wood nymph murals are magical and the rooms reminded me of that scene in the adaptation of Edith Wharton's The Buccaneers when Nan and crew play blind man's bluff in Idina's decadent and decaying love cottage. The afternoon was spent strolling through The Frick and then visiting a few of the rooms at The Met. Oh, yes, it's raining here, but we hardly noticed...
