It cleared up wonderfully yesterday after a rain-drenched morning. We spent New Year's Eve with several hundred strangers atop Primrose Hill looking down on the fireworks, but it was peaceful on this hushed and cloudy Friday afternoon. After greeting a few friendly four-legged creatures, I sloshed over to Trojka, a Russian tea room on Primrose Hill's tiny high street to read the paper. I had Russian tea with cherry syrup and a sweet pancake filled with cream cheese and sultanas. This afternoon we're planning to get over to St. James park and then there's a surprise for the evening. I'm hoping it has something to do with "ice skating" and "Somerset House," but we'll see. Unfortunately, I waited all morning in vain for British Teleom to come and install a phone line and turn on the broadband, so I'm still hopping on wireless when I can get a bar or two on my MacBook. More later...
great to have you back, at least in a bloggy way.

Hiya, I know it's a year late but I was hoping to head over to Primrose Hill this year to watch the fireworks. Is it safe and are there alot of people there? Just wanted a few tips and advice for someone who'd already done it! Thanks

Yes, it was very safe. There were quite a few people but not too many. Hope you have a great time! Cheers.
